How Docgle handles forms, uploads, answers, and drafts.

Public form pages show the official source URL Docgle has for the blank form. When Docgle has a revision label for that source, the form page shows it.

A source-certified walkthrough means Docgle has completed source-to-completion review for that public guide. UNPROVEN or a soft source disclosure means Docgle has not verified that the agency source is the current revision. Treat that walkthrough as a draft helper and check the official source before filing.

For public forms, in-progress answers and the current step are saved in this browser so the walkthrough can resume after a refresh.

The fill flow does not use the server response store for public forms. Final review, preview, download, and completed-packet steps can still send the answers needed for checking, rendering, or saving the completed packet record.

Privacy-protected public forms use the browser-local path where implemented today. That mode currently applies to vital-record and personal-life forms, and IRS Form 9465 also uses that shield path in the fill flow.

When you upload a private PDF, the file is sent to Docgle's backend.

The backend stores the uploaded PDF bytes under a private_uploads/ storage key, creates a private document, and protects private review and fill links with a private access token. Docgle stores a hash of that token, not the raw token, in the private-upload record.

Private uploads are not published to the public library.

Docgle publishes official blank form pages, source links, revision labels when available, public form descriptions, and public walkthroughs that have been unlocked.

Docgle never publishes your uploads, your private-upload access links, your browser-saved progress, or your answers.

Analytics run only when a Google Analytics measurement ID is configured.

Recorded event categories include page views, document views, official-source clicks, public-page CTA clicks, checklist lead generation, walkthrough starts, step completions, form completions, PDF downloads, and PDF prints.

Analytics parameters are limited to page path and title, form slug, source surface, CTA or lead source, step id, step number, and total step count. The analytics code is designed not to send names, SSNs, dates, addresses, free text, session IDs, private access tokens, or answer values.

Docgle is not a government agency, law firm, tax preparer, or guaranteed filing service.

Docgle helps prepare drafts and keeps official sources visible. You review the result and decide what to file, sign, download, mail, or submit.

Docgle is free during beta.

Drafts require your review. A completed PDF or handoff is not final until you check it against the official source and any filing instructions that apply to you.

Docgle has not implemented a fixed automatic retention period yet.

Browser-local progress stays in your browser until you clear browser storage or use Start over in the walkthrough. Server-stored private uploads, private progress, and completed packet records are handled by deletion request.

Use the contact form for support and deletion requests. Do not send sensitive document details unless they are needed to identify the request.
